      Use AI Fairly and Responsibly

As we introduce children to the possibilities of AI and digital tools, it is equally important to teach them about honesty, respect, and responsible use. We want children to understand that not everything they see or find online is automatically accurate or appropriate. Let's model the importance of respecting other people's work, giving credit where it is due, avoiding stereotypes, and being transparent when AI has helped us create something. These values help children develop good digital citizenship and remind them that technology should always be used thoughtfully and ethically.

At Home: When exploring AI-generated pictures, stories, or ideas together, take a moment to look at them critically. Ask questions like, "Does this picture show people and cultures respectfully?" or "Who created this original picture or story?" Teach your child that other people's ideas and creations deserve recognition and that we should always give credit when required. Most importantly, let them see us practising honesty and respect in our own use of technology.
      • “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
